“Helping in the garden cheers me up and gives me something to do. Looking at the garden I feel a sense of accomplishment and feel like I’m making a difference.”

People Speak Up received funding to set up a community garden at People Speak Up, Park Street, in Llanelli Town Centre.

A sanctuary for people of all ages, backgrounds and life experiences to enjoy, whether they are novice or experienced gardeners wanting to get their hands dirty or people looking for a peaceful place to relax, write, draw and support their mental health and wellbeing.

Gardening Club at PSU, Llanelli

Every Wednesday afternoon, from 1pm-3pm we will be running a gardening club here with our Volunteer and Community Garden Co-ordinator, Cerys.

Share and learn new ways to look after our garden here in the centre of Llanelli. Contact us at PSU to find out more about our weekly Gardening Club.

“It’s been so lovely to get an opportunity to learn these skills. It’s been enlightening and a beautiful experience which has helped me make friends and feel at peace in nature. It has really helped my mental health. I have taken my skills and attempted my own growing at home. So a huge thank you to Cerys and PSU.”
