People Sing Up – A singing group unlike any other, led by Nerissa Joan. Express yourself through singing and rediscover your voice. An opportunity for you to connect with yourself and your community by creatively exploring songs.
The People Sing Up choir sings a mix of unaccompanied and instrumental songs (with soundtracks). We sing the classics like 'I'm Feeling Good' to 'The Chain' Fleetwood Mac, 'Sounds of Silence' Simon and Garfunkle, up to modern pop songs like Bruno Mars, Five and of course 'Sweet Caroline'.
The choir has performed at a number of events and venues over the past year including singing carols in Llanelli town centre, performing at the aging well event at the Cymru Botanic Gardens, and at the Carmarthenshire Living Center's one year anniversary celebration in Saint David's Park, Carmarthen. We also sing carols in Asda, Llanelli. Under the guidance of our leader Nerissa we have performed 12 times and had many rehearsals in our centre.
