Carla Shepherd

Carla is a Welsh artist, creative facilitator, and community builder passionate about inclusivity, wellbeing, and connection. Since graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts in 2012, she has delivered a range of creative projects across Wales, including public art commissions, school-based initiatives, and collaborations with wellbeing and mental health organisations.

As a queer and neurodivergent person, Carla is committed to creating spaces where underrepresented communities feel seen, valued, and supported. In 2022, they founded Primavera Wellness Space, Wales’ first fully inclusive wellness space. The award-winning, queer- and trans-owned space was created to make wellbeing more accessible, with a strong focus on supporting the trans+ community.
