Square Stories

Welcome to Square Stories; the fun place to find out about the heritage on your doorstep. We are Young People Speak Up and during the lockdown, we worked on Zoom with Lead Artist, Cheryl Beer to create a Digital Heritage Pack for the primary schools of Llanelli. Town Hall Square is filled with stories of courage, strength and bravery, reminding us of how amazing our town is. We had great fun learning all about it and we hope that you do, too.

We would like to thank Cheryl Beer, our Special Guests Delyth Jones, Paolo Piana, Stephanie Simms and our Peer Youth Artists Oska & Copper. We would also like to thank our YPSU Team; Carys & Ffion, as well as PSU Director Eleanor Shaw. Our final thanks go to Heritage Lottery, Fusion, Llanelli Town Council and Carmarthenshire County Council for funding the project.

Croeso i Straeon y Sgwâr; y lle llawn hwyl lle gallwch wybod mwy am y treftadaeth sydd ar ein stepen drws. Ni yw Ieuenctid People Speak Up ac yn ystod y cyfnod clo, fe wnaethon ni weithio ar Zoom gyda’r Arlunydd Cheryl Beer a oedd yn ein arwain i greu Pecyn Treftadaeth Digidol ar gyfer ysgolion cynradd Llanelli. Mae Sgwâr Neuadd y Dre yn llawn straeon o gryfder a dewrder, sy’n ein hatgoffa pa mor anhygoel yw ein tre. Ceson ni lot fawr o hwyl wrth ddysgu amdano a gobeithio y byddwch chi yn hefyd.
